Questions for Al GoreSubmitted to me by my old history teacher, Chuck ChalbergMike:I'm actually replying to your last reply to me rather than to this piece. You could ask Gore how and why he managed to change his mind, and well into his adulthood at that, on abortion. Did his aspirations for higher office have anything to do with it? Secondly, which is it going to be: a campaign against the poweful or one that takes credit for boom times. How can he do both with a straight face. And speaking of the powerful (and your 130 contributors to the Bush campaign), how can a party in the hip pocket of not just Hollywood, but trial lawyers and the NEA claim to speak for the people. I'm an NEA member, but not for a minute do I think it has the children of this country primarily in mind. If any major party is the stand pat party this time around, its the Dems. (whether it be vouchers, social security, or affirmative action). There, that's the best I can do for now. And no, I'm no great fan of George II, but I certainly don't despise him and may even vote for him, that is if I don't pass. Chuck |

You don't write merely about technology, you write about what technology means to us and how it has changed us. I like it." -- John Boxmeyer, St. Paul
