Highland Groveland Recreation Association Presents:

The Mission

For nine weeks starting
May 13, 1997,
our mission is to have fun,
get hits, catch flies,
make catchable throws,
and hit the cut-off man.

The Players:

Fifth Game: The Knights

The Knights were a good team, and they played us tough, but when the dust had settled, there was little who remained the mightiest dogs on the river.

Everyone had a good game, as far as I could see. We're playing loose and having fun,and that is helping us relax and do well. And that is the secret to baseball in a nutshell.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:

1. The next game is in a strange location, in the middle of the College of St. Catherine campus. (behind tennis courts, enter at Fairview Ave.)

2. Why not show up 15 minutes early and get some practice in?

3. Practices are more important, and more fun, than games. During games we have no time to work on your weaknesses. During practice, we do. So be there!

The Coaches

Water!

Here's something that would be invaluable, but kind of a pain. We need someone o bring a jug of water to games and practices. Either dixie cups or 2-3 plastic glasses. Some days will be very humid and hot, and kids will get a bit dehydrated. Anyone up for this act of mercy?
