There are a few people out there with big plans, and they need a communicator to help implement them.
Not every day, but every so often, they need a speechwriter, a ghostwriter, an editor, a journalist, a publicist, someone to bounce ideas off to make messages better.
This is what I do. I work with (right now) three people with very public careers. I may not do anything for one of them for several months, then suddenly I am there for him.
I write and re-write speeches, articles, books even. More important, I help manage the strategy of communications -- how much to say, and exactly how to say it.
I am like a personal communications valet to my clients -- faithful, effective, discreet.
